...It's been awhile...

WOW.  I can't believe it's been a whole year since I last posted.  Needless to say I'm extremely behind.  It's hard to wrap up a whole year in one post but it shall be done.

In March of last year, I got a new job at L-3 Communications as a Operations Financial Analyst.  It was perfect timing and I've really enjoyed the adventure of learning a new job and interacting with new people.  I really miss the U sometimes more so because of the awesome work I was doing but it was time for me to move on.  My job now rocks! I work a 4/10 schedule so I have every Friday off.  3 day weekend EVERY weekend is totally worth having to be to work at 6:00 am.

Patrick is still pushing through school and is doing amazing!! He's taking classes that I took in my Undergrad and is getting better grades than I did. Pretty amazing!  One more year and he'll be done! Thank goodness. He's also still working at Kennecott and is really doing some good work there.  He's the only Non-Engineer there doing Project Management (which for Kennecott, is a big deal).  We're really grateful for the great jobs that we both have.

Ashton.... oh buddy! He is getting so big so fast.  He had a great summer and we did a lot of fun things.  In August, we flew up to Washington to visit family and go camping!  I had a lot of anxiety of flying and camping with a 9 month old but I was pleasantly surprised!  He did amazing!  He slept both ways on the airplane and did a great job camping and getting dirty.  He had his 1st birthday in November and we threw a fabulous football party!  1st down!  It was so fun to see friends and family and celebrate Ashton!

Shortly after his birthday, Ashton came down with a rough cold that turned into Bronchitis (which happened again last month).  It was a long few weeks but he is still a happy energetic baby even when he's sick.  Which is great, but has it's down falls as well.  It's hard to wipe a runny nose when he's everywhere and wiping it on everything.

Because flying with Ashton was great in August, we took a quick trip after Christmas to California to visit Patrick's grandpa.  It was a great, short trip and again, Ashton amazed me.  He's friendly with everyone and does really well in just about any environment.  He sleeps normal, eats normal and plays normal.  We made it out to Knott's Berry farm but it was raining when we got there so we didn't end up going in.  We just shopped around which was fun too.

We've had an amazing year and are completely and utterly in love with our little man.  He's the greatest, coolest thing to ever happen in our lives.
